HEAL (Healthcare Experience Advancement Lab)

Co-designing digital health solutions with clinicians and care teams.

Co-designing for real impact

HEAL’s Think Tanks engage clinicians to ideate, prototype, and test digital health solutions that directly address clinical workflow challenges.

Empowering clinicians, driving change

Through active participation, clinicians directly shape the future of healthcare technology, ensuring solutions are practical, effective, and improve patient care.

Collaborative innovation

We bring clinicians together for webinars, virtual sessions, and collaborative design to drive meaningful change in healthcare practices and digital tools.

How HEAL works

Step 1: Clinicians share real-world challenges through surveys and discussions.

Step 2: HEAL hosts Think Tanks where these challenges are addressed through ideation and collaboration.

Step 3: Ideas evolve into prototypes that are tested and refined based on feedback.

Step 4: Clinicians are actively involved in testing and refining the final solution to ensure it is practical and impactful.

Please note that we are conscious of your time! There is no obligation to participate in each step.

Ideal Primary Care Practice Initiative

The Ideal Primary Care Practice Initiative was designed to address key challenges in primary care. This work aimed to promote more effective, efficient, and patient-centered practices through innovative digital health solutions. Over the course of the year, we conducted a literature review of best practices, hosted a clinician-led webinar series to share experiences and strategies for reducing administrative burden, and carried out co-design activities with physicians, nurse practitioners, administrative staff, and patients to identify key components and supports for the model.
